After being teased during Apple’s keynote in September, Facebook Messenger is finally available for the Apple Watch today.
The app allows users to send voice messages, stickers, likes and their current location — but it can’t be used to write out full messages.
The new Messenger app is built for the Apple Watch’s new operating system watchOS 2, which will allow developers to make native applications for the wearable.
This means we can expect more full-featured apps that can be used independent of the iPhone. The update also allows the Apple Watch to communicate directly over Wi-Fi.
The Facebook Messenger app was quietly rolled out by Facebook in a Messenger app update earlier this week. The new update also adds more support for iOS 9 features, as well as multi-tasking and universal search functionality for iPads.
